This week has been all about coming together as a team to get organized and ready for the long road ahead. Most of our work has been focused on preparing for our second PQP meeting - the first that we will be leading on our own. As a group we have been getting a better understanding of the goals of our project and have started brainstorming how to best accomplish them. These thoughts have been organized into a list of research topics and project deliverables. Using the insight gained from these efforts, we created a mission statement to give readers a brief introduction to our project that can be found on our home page.
Behind the scenes we've been getting organized: making use of Google services like drive, photos, calendar, and tasks to share files among ourselves, schedule meetings, and remind us of important deadlines. We have also decided to use Endnote as a tool for organizing research references as they are collected.
Last but not least, we have organized and overhauled our team website! Here you can read our mission statement, and blog posts, visit our team page to learn more about who we are, follow our completed and ongoing tasks, and view files we've released on our google drive. We've also decked it out with a background picture of Venice and a matching color scheme. The website is still in its early stages, but it is looking good so far! We'll be sure to add more in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
