01 – Prologue
Vivio: Presently it is autumn of year 0078 of the new calendar, Midchilda is generally at peace.
Recently on one of the planets it appears that a film is being produced/created about my mothers. I heard that the movie is supposed be based on both Nanoha-mama’s and Fate-mama’s childhood.
In order to monitor accuracy (accuracy of the script) and to provide some material, I and Nanoha-mama are heading out to the outskirts of Midchilda where the movie is being produced (where the production/movie company is located).
02 – Saikai
02 – Reunion/Meeting Again
Vivio: Wow, the studio’s so pretty.
Nanoha: They say it was built five years ago.
Vivio: Wow!
Nanoha: Let’s see. We’re supposed to head to the ninth floor, so the elevator is…
Vivio: Ah, oh it’s over there! Huh? Those two are…
Subaru: Huh?
Teana: Nanoha-san and Vivio?
Nanoha: Subaru, Teana!
Teana: A pleasure to see you again.
Subaru: It’s been so long, Nanoha-san!
Nanoha: Yeah, it’s been awhile both of you.
Subaru: Heh, you too Vivio, good day!
Vivio: Good day to you too, Subaru-san, Teana-san! Thanks for your help last time.
Teana: No, not all, it’s the other way around. We’re the ones who should thank you.
Vivio: Oh not at all.
Nanoha: Are you two here to provide extra material/on assignment?
Subaru: Yes, some sort of interview thing.
Teana: A request from the training school.
Vivio: Oh yeah, you were both students there.
Subaru: Yup, that’s right!
Teana: We came a bit early but it seems the studio still needs to be set up.
Vivio: Oh my.
Subaru: They said it might take twenty minutes more or something, so we were wondering what we should do (while we wait).
Vivio: Oh, if that’s the case, why don’t you come with us? They’re going to show us mama’s movie script/video and stuff.
Subaru: Ah, you mean the one you told us before?
Teana: I’m flattered but is it really all right?
Nanoha: Its fine, they said we can bring friends and family with us.
Vivio: That’s why I’m here!
Subaru: What do you want to do Tea?
Teana: Well, if wouldn’t be a bother then…
Subaru: Please let us come with you!

Teana: So this is the sample material.
Subaru: They’re mostly graphics and picture, and mostly complete too.
Vivio: Yup.
Nanoha: Well everyone, feel free to sit or stand while watching.
S+T: Yes ma’am.
Subaru: Oh~, they have image data and paper information (written information). Wow, there’s so many of them.
Vivio: Yeah. Oh, they even have posters!
Teana: You’re right!
Subaru: But Nanoha-san, when they said you’ll be ‘checking’ this, how exactly are you going to do that?
Nanoha: Well, I’ll take a look at all the material here and then we’ll touch/fix them up later.
Subaru: I see.
Nanoha: They’ve also asked me to make sure the magic and air combat scenes are accurate
Teana: They’re really going for realism aren’t they?
Vivio: Ah, these are the costumes, there’s so many.
Subaru: You’re right. Oh, the barrier jacket design’s different too!
Vivio: Yes they are.
Subaru: You know in the old image data, how do you say, there were more ribbons or something.
Vivio: Yeah, yeah. It was ‘cute’ looking, but this one’s going for a ‘cooler’ look.
Subaru: You’re right. You know, I’ve thought about it before…
Vivio: Yes?
Subaru: I think Nanoha-san’s childhood barrier jacket would look great on Vivio!
Vivio: Ahhh, I wonder…
Subaru: Here, here. Let’s lay this over you… Oh hey Tea! Take a look!
Teana: Oh it sure. It’s very princess-like.
Vivio: Heh heh, thank you very much!
Subaru: I bet the original version would look better on you Vivio than this one, you know the one with the big ribbon.
Vivio: Um, well, I have worn my mom’s elementary school uniform before.
Subaru: Really? I so wanted to see that!
Vivio: Heh heh, I wonder if we have any pictures of it.

Vivio: So it is!
Subaru: Wow, so the design is pretty different too.
Vivio: Yes it is. Hey mama, is it alright if I can touch it?
Nanoha: They say it’s okay.
Vivio: Okay then. A one, two. Whoa, it’s pretty heavy!
Subaru: Oh, it matches perfectly (a perfect match).
Vivio: Hehehe. Raising Heart, Set Up! Or something like that.
Subaru: Hahah, how cute! How cute!
Vivio: Here Subaru-san, why don’t you try?
Subaru: Is it really okay? Well then, one piercing blast/shot, DIVINE BUSTER!
Vivio: If that’s the case, BARRIER!
Subaru: Oh nuts, she countered it! Well, well, take this Raising Heart Kick!
Vivio: Hey, what does that have to do with Raising Heart?
Subaru: Er, so I can’t do that?
Vivio: Okay then, counter attack Photo Lancer! FIRE/GO!
Subaru: KAPING! Reflected the attack back.
Vivio: Wha?! Well then, REVOLVER CANNON! BOOOM!
Teana: Sorry, it seems like we only came to play.
(Subaru: ARGH! She’s shooting me!)
Nanoha: Hahaha, you’re playing with her, so in truth I’m quite thankful for that.
(Vivio: *can’t hear*)
(Subaru: No please, spare me!)
Teana: Oh no, don’t.
Nanoha: But it’s been awhile since I last saw you Teana.
Teana: Yes, it’s truly been a long while since last time.
Nanoha: Oh no, not at all. I know Teana is busy. But if you ever want to practice/train again, come on over to the Instruction Corps.
Teana: I’ll keep that in mind, there’s still a lot I want to learn.
Vivio: Hahaha, in short, its Vivio’s victory!
Subaru: Urg, I lost…

Teana: Yup, they say the studio’s ready.

Subaru: Wow, don’t you think it’s exciting to be the subject of a movie?
Teana: Yeah, and with Nanoha-san supervising the accuracy/editting, I’m sure the movie will make an excellent reference material for mages.
Subaru: Yea. We should go see it too! We should invite everyone!
Teana: But Erio and Caro are probably going to go with Fate-san and Arf, so who else should we call?
Subaru: Hm, well, the entire Nakajima family and Gin-nee did say they wanted to go see it.
Teana: I’m sure the twins at the Church are interested. And there’s Alto-san.
Subaru: Ah, of course we’ll invite Alto. Otto and Deed were really interested too. If that’s the case, Sein will want to come too. So we’ll have six sisters (relatives), three Sisters, Alto and Tea for a grand total of eleven people! Oh this’ll be so great/exciting!
Teana: Never mind the numbers, our group is going have a rescue/emergency disaster officer, an Enforcer, a lead/recognized/commissioned Investigator; not only that, it’ll have ten people with over A-ranks… and one HQ helicopter pilot.
Subaru: Whoa, the perfect team/battle line-up. No matter what happens, we’ll be able to deal with it.
Teana: Are we going to watch a movie or are we going to go protect the peace?
Subaru: Hahaha!

Nanoha: Hm, with those two gone, it’s gotten real quiet.
Vivio: Yeah~!
Nanoha: Vivio, are you all right? You aren’t bored, are you?
Vivio: Huh?
Nanoha: You can go outside to play if you want. There was a bookstore on the way here.
Vivio: No I’m fine and this script is pretty interesting.
Nanoha: Really?
Vivio: Really. Hey, mama?
Nanoha: Yes?
Vivio: This is happened when mamas were about nine years old right? So it’s been over ten years now, right?
Nanoha: About thirteen years now.
Vivio: So around this time, it wasn’t as if Mama suddenly using magic back then right?
Nanoha: You’re right, I didn’t know anything about magic at the time, so Yuuno-kun and Raising Heart had to teach me what they could.
Vivio: And you went through lots with Fate-mama.
Nanoha: Yeah.
Vivio: So then, when did mama decide on her ‘future/career’?
Nanoha: Future?
Vivio: Like ‘I decided to be an Aerial Combat Mage’ sort of thing.
Nanoha: Hm…
Vivio: When you were battling Fate-mama?
Nanoha: No, didn’t think of it at all around that time. It was years after that.
Vivio: Really?
Nanoha: The first time I seriously started to think about it was after that case/incident with Hayate and the others ended.
Vivio: In other words, when you were a little older than me?
Nanoha: Around that time. Oh my, could it be that Vivio is starting think about her future?
Vivio: Yes I have thought about it. Though I have no intention of rushing it, but I kinda wanted to find/have a goal/dream at least.
Nanoha: Hm, well it wasn’t as if I and Fate-chan went out to look for a goal/dream and found it.
Vivio: Yeah, that’s true. Erio and Caro’s the same. Same with Subaru and Teana-san too. I guess a dream/goal is something you go in search of…
Nanoha: I don’t think that’s necessarily so… but it might be something you just happen to find/run into by chance.
Vivio: Happen to find/run into?
Nanoha: Sometimes if you go search for it, you might not find it but if you’re looking for it in the first place, then you’ll notice it when you unexpectedly run into it.
Vivio: Oh…
Nanoha: But if you’re not paying attention…
Vivio: If you find/meet it, you might pass it by, by accident.
Nanoha: Something like that.
Vivio: Ah, I see, I’m impressed.
Nanoha: Heh, praise me!
Vivio: Heh, Mama’s amazing! Pet, pet! Oh~? It’s from Fate-mama!
Nanoha: What’s written on it? (Does she need something?)
Vivio: She said ‘My active (overtime) duty just ended and am preparing to come home. What was Vivio and Nanoha-mama’s day like?’
Nanoha: I see.
Vivio: Mama doesn’t have anything left to do after this right?
Nanoha: That’s right.
Vivio: Okay then, I’ll send back a message. ‘We’ll both be back for dinner, if you’re finished work it would be great if you came home.’ Is that okay?
Nanoha: Perfect!
Vivio: Right, sending then! Overtime? Fate-mama and Shari-san sure have it tough.
Nanoha: It’s hard work in the investigative section. They’re always abroad on other worlds..
Vivio: When she gets back home, we’ve got to make sure she takes it easy.
Nanoha: Let’s prepare a bath and dinner for her.
Vivio: Yeah, let’s make all of Fate-mama’s favourites for her.
Nanoha: Of course.
Vivio: Ah, she replied. Let’s see ‘I’m at Section/Area 6 right now, so I’ll be heading home’.
Nanoha: Oh, she’s close by then; she must be coming back from the Ministry of Justice.
Vivio: We might be able to meet up with her then; I’m going to talk to her for a bit.
Nanoha: Okay!

Subaru: Ah, interview’s finally finished. Ung, I was so nervous!
Teana: Yeah, and we talked for quite a bit.
Subaru: Hey Tea, you got anything to do after this?
Teana: I’m planning to go back to HQ but there’s no need to hurry.
Subaru: Well if that’s the case, why don’t we go and eat a little?
Teana: Fine with me. Hey, is there some sort of cafeteria somewhere in this place.
Subaru: Yup, there seems to be four of them on the 12th floor.
Teana: As expected, you have sharp eyes.
Subaru: In any case, let’s go and eat.
Teana: Yeah, let’s do that.
Man: Well then, when you’ve finished deciding what to order I’ll return to take it.
Subaru: Thanks. Ah~, warm tea is great/the best.
Teana: Yeah. Oh that reminds me.
Subaru: Oh?
Teana: Nove and the others; the four sisters of N2R, have they settled in?
Subaru: Yeah, they’re all doing great. Here’s the menu.
Teana: Thank you. Was it last month they left the Home, and moved into the Nakajima household?
Subaru: Last month on the twenty fifth. They say they’ve already decided on rooms and chores.
Teana: Really? Wait, can those guys even do housework/chores? I heard their rehabilitation staff/counsellor was teaching them how to…
Subaru: They all can do it pretty well. Though Dieci is the best at chores/housework and seems to like it best.
Teana: Heh, she definitely has that image/impression.
Subaru: Cooking responsibilities usually alternate between Dieci and Gin-nee, with Cinque taking over time to time.
Teana: I see, sounds like something that can put a smile on your face.
Subaru: Yeah, you’d be pretty surprise how normal the family is like.
Teana: Hey, this might sound pretty weird/insensitive but…
Subaru: Hm?
Teana: You know how Cinque is ‘this’ tall, right?
Subaru: Yeah, about that…
Teana: Isn’t it hard for her? I mean when she wants to cook, she can’t reach stuff.
Subaru: The answer to that is… a pair of personal step ladder/stools! One for cooking, another for reaching/getting high/far away things. Handmade by dad.
Teana: How very diligent of Major Nakajima…
Subaru: Cinque says it’s her treasure. (Cinque really treasures them)
Teana: How nice, having such a cute older sister.
Subaru: Well, the big problem is that I’m not home a lot.
Teana: The stand by/duty rotation of the rescue team is pretty constant/continuous.
Subaru: Yeah, it really is.
Teana: Don’t worry about it so much; even though you’re away a lot, they’re still your family.
Subaru: Yeah…
Teana: I mean, even though Fate-san is away from her family a lot, it’s still loving/happy.
Subaru: Yeah, you’re right. Oh, by the way Tea.
Teana: Hm?
Subaru: Everyone in the Nakajima family agree to the last, that Tea is a member of the family too!
Teana: What?
Subaru: Well, you were like family before but now, the youngest two regard you as (their benefactor) someone they owe their lives and futures to. Everyone’s really grateful to you.
Teana: It can’t be like that, those guys are the one who decided on their future/atonement alone.
Subaru: But, you know, they still feel thankful and everyone likes/loves Tea lots!
Teana: Thank you.
Subaru: Of course, I’ve always loved Tea from the beginning!
Teana: You’re/That’s just annoying!
Man: Have you decided upon your orders, ladies?
Subaru: Wah, um, Tea have you decided already?
Teana: Yeah.

Nanoha: Where did she say she was waiting at?
Vivio: Near the elevators in the east side. Oh hey, Fate-mama!
Nanoha: Fate-chan!
Fate: Vivio! Nanoha!
Vivio: Sorry to keep you waiting!
Fate: Are you done reviewing?
Nanoha: Yup, just now.
Vivio: Hehe, it’s great that we managed to meet up.
Fate: Yeah, it’s thanks to you Vivio. Oh, where’s the car?
Nanoha: It’s parked a bit far. It was pretty busy when we arrived. That reminds me, when is it Fate-chan’s turn?
Fate: Mine’s next week, I’m going to go see it with Arf.
Nanoha: I see.
Vivio: Hey Fate-mama, what would you like for dinner?
Fate: Hm, wonder what would be good?
Vivio: Nanoha-mama said she’ll make anything!
Nanoha: I’ll make anything you want.
Fate: Thank you Nanoha.
Nanoha: Okay, get in you two!

Vivio: That reminds me, we saw Subaru-san and Teana-san today.
Fate: Oh really?
Nanoha: They said it was for an interview.
Fate: Hm, if they’re together then it’s probably something for the training school, right?
Nanoha: It seems so.
Fate: Those two are such great partners.
Vivio: Their silver and black uniforms are cool too.
Fate: I know what you mean.

Fate: Nanoha, is there anything want me to help you with?
Nanoha: No, it’s fine. Just sit down and take it easy.
Fate: Really? Thank you then.
Nanoha: Huh? Where’s Vivio?
Fate: She’s talking to her friends right now, something about homework.
Nanoha: I see. Hey Fate-chan, if you don’t mind something really simple would you like me to bring something out?
Fate: Oh that would great! I’ll have it.
Nanoha: Hm, let’s see. Oh here it is.
Fate: Nanoha’s side dishes are so tasty/great!
Nanoha: Heh, well I do have confidence that they’re well balanced/healthy/nutritious. Vivio’s starting eat a lot more now, so I’ve got to keep food and snacks stocked or else we’ll be all out before we know it. Here you go!
Fate: Thanks for the meal. Vivio’s been pushing herself very hard with her magic and physical training hasn’t she?
Nanoha: And she’s a growing child too.
Fate: Oh, this is so good!
Nanoha: Thanks! But you know… Talking/Hearing about the past is pretty embarrassing.
Fate: Yeah, you’re right.
Nanoha: It’s been almost 13 years now. I never thought, back then, I would end up like this. To leave my homeland/birthplace to move to another distant (interdimensional) world and end up working as a mage of all things.
Fate: And having a cute (daughter) child to boot.
Nanoha: Yeah.
Vivio: And that cute kid has ‘arrived’! (ttou, sono kawaii kodomo SANJOU~!)
Fate: Oh my, what a blunder.
Nanoha: She overheard us.
Vivio: Hehehe, the bath’s ready now. So Fate-mama, go ahead and go in first!
Fate: Ah, thanks Vivio.
Nanoha: When you get out of the bath, it’ll be time for dinner.
Vivio: Oh, then Vivio’ll do her homework in the mean time then!
Fate: Then I shall take your kind offer and go have a bath first.
Nanoha: Okay.
Vivio: Take your time!

Nanoha: Your homework assignment/subject is on laws of magic? (physics of magic)
Vivio: Yup, it’s easy as pie.
Nanoha: Oh, how great.
Vivio: Oh, and Mama.
Nanoha: Hm?
Vivio: It’s about Mamas’ talk about your childhood past.
Nanoha: Yes?
Vivio: What did you think of Fate-mama when you first met her?
Nanoha: What did I think of her? You mean my first impression?
Vivio: Like as a friend and stuff like that.
Nanoha: Hm, I guess I thought to myself, ‘what a beautiful girl’. I’m sure you read it in the script but she had a completely black barrier jacket, her skin was so white and her arms were so thin they looked like they would break but when she moved, she moved so quickly your eyes couldn’t follow her at all. But most of all, her eyes were so beautiful. So beautiful they could drown/swallow you whole.
Vivio: Hm…
Nanoha: But they looked so incredibly lonely and sad.
Vivio: So that’s why you wanted to talk to her (hear her story)?
Nanoha: Back then, I was pretty much caught up in a lot of different things too. I was probably lonely and pretty lost too. So I guess that’s why when I saw Fate-chan, I got mesmerized/captivated with her.
Vivio: You thought, ‘I want to be her friend’.
Nanoha: Yeah.
Vivio: Hm, I see.
Nanoha: Oh, what is it?
Vivio: Hm, you know, when Vivio first met Mama for the first time, I was really lonely and scared too.
Nanoha: Heh, and you were pretty lost too.
Vivio: But now I’m surrounded by family and friends, so I’m ultra happy right?
Nanoha: Yeah.
Vivio: In particular, I have lots of really good friends who are older than me.
Nanoha: I know; a surprising number of them.
Vivio: So… I’m neither lonely nor confused/scared at all; if that’s the case, does that mean my most important meeting/encounter/dream/destiny will pass me by?
Nanoha: Ah? AHAHAHAHAH! You were worried about that?!
Vivio: URG! This is not a laughing matter! Vivio’s serious about this!
Nanoha: HAHAH! Sorry about that. But you don’t need to worry about it.
Vivio: Really?
Nanoha: Really, you’ll notice when you finally meet/find it.
Vivio: Is that really true?
Nanoha: Yes, that’s just how it is. Besides Vivio, you choose all your readings/subjects, sports and magic you’re doing on your own, right?
Vivio: Yeah…
Nanoha: And you’ve made wonderful friends.
Vivio: Yeah…
Nanoha: Then isn’t that also an important meeting/encounter too?
Vivio: Ah, I see.
Nanoha: Isn’t it?
Vivio: Yes it is.
Nanoha: Problem solved then!
Vivio: Who would have guessed? Everything’s fine then.

Vivio: That being said, I’m done my homework!

Vivio: Hehehe, you shouldn’t underestimate Raising Heart’s amazing multitask exercise (Raising Heart’s multitask exercises are nothing to sneeze at)! Here, have a look.
Nanoha: You’re right, they’re all done… and they’re all correct too!
Vivio: Well then, I’m going to put away my workbook and textbooks away.
Nanoha: Whoa, I’m quite surprised/impressed!

Fate: Me too!
Nanoha: Ahaha.
Vivio: Hey Nanoha-mama, are you going to take a bath?
Nanoha: Hm, I’ll take one later. Vivio, go ahead and go in first.
Vivio: Okay! I’m going to go take a bath!
Fate: Have fun!
Nanoha: *sigh*
Fate: Thanks for your hard work Nanoha.
Nanoha: Oh, not at all.
Fate: Here you go.
Nanoha: Oh thanks a lot, Fate-chan.
Fate: Oh that reminds me, did you receive those old pictures from Chrono and Hayate?
Nanoha: Oh, I received the ones from Hayate. There are a lot of unprinted ones saved.
Fate: If you need to print them, they said they’ll send over better quality ones.
Nanoha: I see, I guess I’ll find a few I want printed then.
Fate: Yeah.
Nanoha: But, we sure have a lot of pictures left over.
Fate: There were a lot of people who liked taking pictures.
Nanoha: Yeah. The ones who liked taking pictures most were Arf, Suzuka-chan, Amy-san and Dr. Shamal.
Fate: Me and Hayate took a lot of pictures too.
Nanoha: And amongst Mobile Six members, Subaru.
Fate: Yes, you’re right.
Nanoha: Hahah, we have a lot of childhood pictures.
Fate: I haven’t seen all of them, but there were lots of familiar/memorable pictures.
Nanoha: Hm, you’re right.
(Fate: Oh, Hayate *can’t hear*…)
Nanoha: How nostalgic, Vivio’s the same as age as I was back when I hadn’t even thought of (planned for) the future at all. When I was frantically chasing after my dream/wish and just learning magic. I don’t know what would have happened if I never discovered magic, but all I can do and want to do hasn’t changed from that time at all.
(Nanoha: Really?)
(Fate: *can’t hear*)

(Fate: Yes, that’s it. I want to take Vivio to see it one day *can’t hear*)….)

Fate: Huh? Nanoha, is something wrong?
