Albireo: It was almost thirty years ago, what had started as a minor conflict on the very edge of the Empire and Coalition had grown into full fledge war. Within that conflict, the members of Ala Rubra : Nagi, Rakan, Eishun, Zecht, Gatou , Takamichi, and I, Albireo Ima, went to rescue Princess Arika who had been kidnapped by the mysterious Cosmo Entelecheia. In the darkness of night, Ala Rubra traveled to Noctis Labyrinthus.
Nagi: Hey! I’m here Princess.
Arika: You’re late, my knight.
Nagi: Heh, as usual Princess, you’re so uncute.
Rakan: What the hell are ya saying, you brat?! You were so worried about the Princess, you kept on bugging us to hurry, hurry, hurry!
Nagi: You shut the hell up!
Rakan: Why you little bastard! You wanna get hurt!
Arika: You uncouth fool! *slap*
Nagi: Ugh.
Arika: If you have time to feel pain, then let us hurry and escape from here. (Quickly rescue me and begin escaping!)
Nagi: Okay, okay Princess. I got it; we just need to start escaping right?
Rakan: Ha hah! The man of a thousand spells couldn’t stand up to our Princess here!
Zecht: It’s exactly as you say.
Eishun: In any case, your Royal Highness/Princess, lets us make way to our hideout immediately.
Albireo: And so we brought back Princess Arika to Ala Rubra’s hideout.

Nagi: Well then Princess, we managed to rescue you and all but this is where it starts getting real hard. You have no allies within the Empire or Coalition who’ll help ya.
Gateau/Eishun?: This is, without a doubt, the truth your Royal Highness/Princess. Your kingdom, Ostia, is in the same position/situation. According to my careful investigation/In my informed opinion on the Ostian Kingdom’s status/situation is extremely bleak.
Arika: As I had suspected… My knights…
Nagi: Hey! What the heck is up with ‘my knights’ Princess… If you take a look at my class, I’m a mage.
Arika: But you’re no longer a soldier/warrior of the Coalition right? If that’s the case, then you’re all mine now.
Nagi: Wha?!
Arika: The Empire, Coalition and even my own Ostia, this means that the entire world is our enemy then?

Albireo: That night after Princess Arika went to sleep, Ala Rubra found we were unable to sleep and decided to pass the time with small talk.
Gateau/Eishun?: Thinking it over, Princess Arika and our group really have turned both Empire and Coalition against us…
Takamichi: I wonder if we have any chance of winning/victory?
Nagi: Heh, who cares about the chances? We’re Ala Rubra, we’re invincible.
Albireo: Ha ha, how very like you Nagi. However, I do believe that we’re in for a very hard fight this time.
Zecht: Not only that, Cosmo Entelecheia is pulling strings behind the scenes.
Gateau/Eishun: In other words, this may very well be the last peaceful/serene night we may have.
Nagi: Heh, quit that boring line of thought, but ya know guys… I wonder, what would be the last thing you do if you were to die tomorrow?

Albireo: And so, Ala Rubra spent their last peaceful night, from thereon began our grand battle against the entire world. After awhile, we began to defeat those we recognized as our enemies while quickly rousing and gathering many allies. At last, after the end of our six months of struggling (alternative translations: in the very end of June), we found the missing pieces to our puzzle; we uncovered our enemies’ base of operations in the kingdom of Ostia’s grand capital city on the largest floating continent, at the Gravekeepers’ Palace.
Eishun: So that’s the Palace of the Gravekeepers’ (Gravekeepers’ Palace)…
Gateau: Yeah, and somewhere in the darkness, the Cosmo Entelecheia lays waiting for us.
Rakan: Well, I guess before our fight, we can go visit the famous Ostia baths then.
Nagi: Huh? A bath? Why?
Rakan: Aw come on, after the Princess is asleep, we can sneak in a bath.

Albireo: And so, since we were to face battle with Cosmo Entelecheia tomorrow, we decided to take one last bath before it began.
Eishun: Ah, this feels great!
Zecht: Ah, it truly is a wonderful bath.
Nagi: H-HOT!

Albireo: All sorts of things happened, as our battle in the morning drew near, we passed the time as we used to in our earlier youthful days. So that night, we gathered our favourite personal ingredients and Eishun prepared his special hotpot for us.

Nagi: Yup! I brought the best cut of meat!
Takamichi: I brought old world Japanese rice cakes.
Albireo: I brought freshly picked vegetables, like this fresh green onion (negi) which is perfect for hotpot.
Nagi: Negi (green onion eh?), I can eat it but I don’t like leeks (bad translation), it’s pretty hot too.
Gateau: As for me, I brought something called toufu, they say that it’s an extremely healthy old world food.
Zecht: Hm, as for me I brought these mushrooms that were growing over there.
Eishun: Hm, you guys brought some pretty good ingredients. Well then, leave the cooking to I, best Old World Hotpot cook, Eishun!
Takamichi: Oh, wait, Rakan-san still isn’t here yet.
Gateau: Also, we’re missing one other person too.

Albireo: Somehow or another, the competition ended. As we returned to our hotpot (nabe) to eat once more, we held rehearsals so that Nagi could practice his confession to Princess Arika.
