Vivio: What we call ‘fate/destiny’ is truly a complicated/complex and intertwined thing. The coincidences and events that happen in completely difference places and the choices made there, become the bits and pieces that create a moment in our life. (alt trans: our life)(bad translation)
These are the events that made me realize this for the first time, a simple small reunion…

Stern: We appeared during what you know as the Book of Darkness Incident/Case. That is when we met Nanoha and the others in Uminari’s sky and fought. And during those battles, we came to understand each other, found common ground and worked to defeat the damaged/broken Book of Darkness as allies.

Hayate: Yeah, everyone’s doing well. There was a big incident and they got injured but right now everyone’s in great spirits and by my side still.
Dearche: Good then.
Hayate: Were you worried?
Dearche: You speak nonsense! We intended in the future to personally defeat you with Our Darkness… If you died pointlessly at the hands of others, it would have been disappointing/galling to Us.

Stern: Yes…
Nanoha: And I became a Tactical Combat Instructor Corps. Fate-chan became an Enforcer and Hayate-chan now has her own unit.
Stern: And was… that the path you wished to take?
Nanoha: There were plenty of setbacks and frustrations, but I’d like to believe everyone is achieving their dreams. Those people you just met are our juniors at work.
Stern: I see…
Levi: Wow? So Fate rescued you and you then got adopted by her.

Stern: I believe Amitie and Kyrie has explained this to you once before. The flow of time diverges and converges at many different points, it not just one orderly path.

Stern: For you, the great turning point was during the Book of Darkness Incident where the Master of the Book of Darkness’s Unison Device, Reinforce Eins fate to be soon destroyed after the Incident. The second was whether you and the others met us.
Nanoha: With Stern and everyone else?

Nanoha: Growing up while using magic, together with everyone and walking our own paths.

Nanoha: I only just now remember about meeting Stern. Yet meeting Vivio after so much has happened, I finally became her mother and she became my daughter. (bad translation)
