ROYAL VISITS TO SINGAPORE
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (11 - 13 Sept 2012)
This royal visit was the Diamond Jubilee Tour made on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.
Even the Daily Mail newspaper was astounded at how popular the British royalties are in Singapore.

The visit to Singapore saw the royal couple at the Botanic Gardens, Gardens by the Bay, the Raffles Hotel and the Strathmore precinct of Queenstown estate.
The Duke and Duchess made a visit to the Commonwealth War Graves and Cemetery at Kranji, where they laid wreaths and paid tribute to the war heroes and veterans.

This was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph and interaction with war veterans from the Commonwealth and Singapore.

This walkabout was conducted at mid-day in lounge suits and dresses, to large enthusiastic crowds, especially at the market.
The royals also dropped in at Hampton pre-school, and the duchess tried her hand at making some popiah and writing calligraphic scripts.
The Duchess made her way to Temasek Junior College in Bedok, there to meet student participants of the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition.
