American History (HS)

American History, (advanced MS and HS)

*This class is offered alternating years with World History (2021-20)

*A tuition payment will be required at the beginning of each semester

Tutor: Mary Mueller

Description: In this class we will explore the amazing story of our country from a Christian perspective! Starting with a basic understanding that history is HIS-story (God's story), the class will start with Early American History and chronologically time-travel to the present. Using the textbook as a framework for study, additional resources will be provided to supplement the textbook and make history come alive. Students will develop a clearer understanding of what distinguishes a Christian worldview from other worldviews by studying every chapter of history through a Biblical lens. Politically correct, revisionist history will be contrasted with the real story. The main focus of the class is to give students a firm sense of truth and their Christian Heritage to prepare them for life!

Taking this class could easily prepare a student to take the CLEP Tests for American History as long as the student is willing to study and work diligently, doing all the assignments provided as well as extra credit opportunities given along the way! Sample CLEP tests and a study sheet will be emailed at the end of the year to help any interested student prepare.
