White (Thompson) defeated Blue (Shipley) 8 points to 6 points
Having failed to secure the Barcelona sponsorship the international juggernaut that is Anyvan took to the golfing stage and sponsored the 2009 Redyr Cup. Without the presence of Ben Goor the 2009 tour was wide open and benefited from the more casual captaincy styles of Shipley and Thompson. Having been seconded for a number of removal jobs en route to the course the two sides clashed in the height of summer with the fair weather golfing of Matt Thompson leading his team to a well deserved victory.
A late withdrawal from Smiler (his golf clubs made it to the South West of France) meant that a number of last minute substitutes were drawn into the tour with RHW and Jim Pattinson stepping up to the plate to aid the whites to victory. Ian Dougal drove the Whites to victory in the singles by taking on, and beating, 2 of the Blue team earning a valuable 2 points for the finally victorious side. Matt Thompson regailled all with his experience in the United States and Madame Moutiers provided the duck for a second year.
