Purple tablecloths (Dougs) defeated Blue tablecloths (Ben Goor) 6 1/2 points to 5 1/2 points

The 2008 tour to Chateau des Vigiers will forever be known for the de Montaignac fashion faux pas as the cutting edge avant guarde style of turning a perfectly serviceable tablecloth into a selection of golf shirts horribly backfired.

2008 also saw one of the closest Redyr Cups in recent memory as Goor and Bulstrode contested the final match of the singles with the score tied at 5 1/2 each. In the end a wonderful rescue shot through the trees from behind the ruin, over the lake, round the bunker and onto the green saw Grant take the hole and with it the match.
