About

After creating Pottery HOMES house portraits for over 10 years in my home based studio in rural Derbyshire, I am now enjoying sharing my love of clay with others. I have discovered holding small workshops for local people is very rewarding and social - after being in my studio for years! So why not join me for a relaxed and hopefully fun class to learn a new skill and make friends!


I can tailor a workshop to suit you and your friends or colleagues, at a venue of your choice, please email me to discuss.

Hare

Friday 7th & Saturday 8th March 2025 - SATURDAY FULL

10am to 3pm, @ By Heather May, Ripley

We will be using a wide variety of techniques in this full day workshop. Create a stylised or more realistic hare that can sit in your home or garden.

Peekaboo Mug or Bowl

Thursday 10th April @ Turners Art Studio, Matlock 

Create a personalised peekaboo mug with a hidden design or animal in the bottom of the inside.  As you drink, the character is gradually uncovered, creating a fun surprise.

Great for kids, teenagers and adults alike! This is in the Easter holidays so you can get the whole family  involved 🥰

Bear Pot in Airdry Clay!

I'm often asked about kids' workshops, but stoneware workshops, with firing and glazing, can be costly due to the work involved.  This is an affordable family workshop using air-dry clay to eliminate firing costs.

Fantastic Mr Fox

This is a full day workshop to create your own Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I'll guide you step-by-step through simple construction techniques to bring this charming character to life. You'll be adding underglazes and using sgraffito techniques to decorate him.
