About
Pottery HOMES are all handmade by myself, Vicky Scotcher, from my home based studio in Derbyshire. As a trained design engineer I have great attention to detail and thoroughly enjoy working with clay and creating pieces of art that people can’t believe are their very own homes!
Since starting Pottery HOMES in 2011 my pottery has featured in Country Homes & Interiors Magazine, Derbyshire Life Magazine and as judges examples on The Great Pottery Throwdown 2021. I am now looking forward to sharing my passion for pottery with others through workshops.”

I studied art and sculpture at school, went on to do a Degree in Industrial Design but then followed a career in marketing. After having a family I decided to go back to my passion for pottery. I set up this business after having made several house portraits for friends and family as gifts with people asking me where they could get one!
So many people put a lot of time, effort and money into their properties and are rightly very proud of their homes. Having a painted portrait commissioned of a home is an obvious way to display their achievements or to be reminded of fond memories of a house. However, not everything or all aspects of a property can be shown in a 2 dimensional picture. I thought what better than to have an exact mini replica of your home/grand design on your coffee table. Hence Pottery HOMES was created.
