Join this fun and functional pottery workshop and craft two beautiful, essential pieces for your kitchen! Using the thumb or pinch pot technique, you will learn how to transform simple clay spheres into useful, custom-designed kitchen items.
The Herb Stripper Bowl: You’ll make a small bowl featuring holes of varying sizes on one side. This ingenious piece allows you to pull the stem of fresh herbs through, effortlessly stripping the leaves directly into the bowl—perfect for cooking!
The Mini Fruit Colander: Create a small, charming colander ideal for washing and preparing soft fruits like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries.
Get creative and choose your colander shape! You can opt for a traditional round colander shape or sculpt it into a fun, themed shape, like a strawberry or another fruit of your choosing. Personalize your colander by designing your own unique patterns of holes to let the water run through.
Glaze Choice: Finish both items by selecting from a beautiful range of available glaze colours.
This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to build on core pottery techniques. Please note: as we will be using a thumb or pinch pot technique this workshop is easier with shorter fingernails. All materials and equipment are provided, and you'll receive step-by-step guidance.
Please Note: Your finished pieces will need time to dry, be fired, and glazed. They will be ready for collection from the venue approximately two to three weeks after the workshop.
