i. 64-bit application support

More 64-bit versions of the Windows operating systems are installed every day, but there are still a lot of 32-bit applications, which depend on old-fashioned 32-bit DLLs. A 64-bit application can only be built with 64-bit DLLs! The 64-bit DLLs were developed on 64-bit Windows 7, but they also work on all other 64-bit Windows editions, like 64-bit: Windows XP, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012.

A. PIC32MX and PIC32MZ support

All samples in Downloads section also include 64-bit DLL libraries, like LIB_PCUSBProjects v6.2.NET4x64.dll or newer. A 64-bit sample application Multithreading example (64-bit) based on LIB_PCUSBProjects v6.2.NET4x64.zip (already includes DLL) is available from Downloads section. All the samples are also suitable for Velleman K8055 and K8055N adapters for PIC32MX250F128B/PIC32MX270F256B/PIC32MZ2048ECH100/PIC32MZ2048ECH144. Program firmware (available from PIC32F250F128B/PIC32MX270F128B firmware v2.9.1 - all subversions.zip and PIC32MZ2048ECH100/144 firmware v2.9.2 - all subversions.zip files) to PIC32MX250F128B/PIC32MX270F256B to use the above functionality. A complete example with source code iz available from subsection 5.: Multithreading support.

B. PIC18F24J50 and PIC18F26J50 support

Most samples in Downloads section also include 64-code. SVLIB_PIC18F24J50 dynamic loadable libraries (DLLs) now have 64-bit versions, like: LIB_PCUSBProjects v6.2.NET4x64.dll or newer. The first DLL is for single threaded applications (and for the applications that handle conflict accesses to the PIC18F2xJ50 microcontroller themselves), and the second one is for the multithread applications. A new 64-bit sample application Multithreading example (64-bit) based on LIB PCUSBProjets_v6.2.NET4x64.zip) is also available from Downloads section.

If you are still not convinced about programming Velleman K8055 and K8055N board microcontrollers, you may now try a DLL that supports the originally Velleman programmed microntrollers PIC16C745 and PIC18F24J50.

A complete example with source code iz availble from subsection 5.f. Multithreading support.
