Thank you for writing about our copy of the Forest Grove News-Times! The Pacific University Library has the only remaining physical copy of the Forest Grove News-Times in our Archives. Due to the fragility of the only remaining copy of this newspaper, we normally refer reference requests to the sturdier and much more accessible microfilm copy of the newspaper, which is about a block away at the City of Forest Grove Public Library. You can visit the public library in person to do your research, or contact their reference department: fgl-reference@wccls.org
[If the patron is looking for obituaries:] They also have a volunteer who works on the obituaries and is often available to assist in providing copies. I am copying this email to the Forest Grove City Library’s general reference email as well as their head adult services, Bob Abbey; they will be able to get your request over to their volunteer.
