Our ArchivesSpace instance is hosted by LibraryHost.com, with service mediated through the Archives & Manuscripts Service of the Orbis Cascade Alliance
For assistance with our instance, see: OCA ArchivesSpace Technical Support Notes
Vendor contact is Caitlin Nelson, caitlin@libraryhost.com (but please use tech support contacts above)
Service is mediated through the Orbis Cascade Alliance Archives & Manuscript Collections Service. The LibraryHost ArchivesSpace Proposal of Service.pdf contains the terms of our original service agreement, before we contracted through OCA-A&M.
However, this has been superseded by our mediated service agreement through the Alliance. Please check with the Alliance for current contract details.
To add users, set permissions and change passwords
You will need to have a system administrator account in order to access these functions. As of 7/2018 the local sys admin is Eva Guggemos. Cassie Schmidt at the Orbis Cascade Alliance also has a sys admin account. For instructions on how to add new users, see the Alliance AS Documentation on User Records and Permissions
About the selection of ArchivesSpace and its configuration
Pacific led the Alliance's pilot project on ArchivesSpace; see pilot documentation here
More information about how we migrated records into our instance and configured it is in this blog-style account
Much more information about recommended settings for configuration, etc., are in the Alliance AS Documentation
Notes for Sys Admins
A minor recurring glitch in our AS instance is that whenever our service provider updates the software, our third Repository ("Art") stops being visible in our public portal. To fix it:
When logged in as an ASpace admin, go to https://pacificu.libraryhost.com/admin/repositories/3/edit
Click "Save Repository"
This forces the instance to re-index the repository. It should appear in the public view afterwards.
