"...REMEMBER WHAT I TOLD YOU. THERE'S SO MUCH YOU'RE LIVING FOR...THERE'S A LIGHT AT THE END OF THIS TUNNEL! SHINING BRIGHT AT THE END OF THIS TUNNEL! FOR YOU, FOR YOU...."
-Third Day, Tunnel
The end is in sight! I know this course has not been the easiest. But there is indeed a reward for those who preserve until the end. Basically, this final term revolves around the following:
1. The EOC- Finally, you will be able to show the world that you really have been paying attention in ELA II. This is a huge state-test with multiple-choice and essay portions. I have every confidence, however, that you will excel!
2. Anthem- (<--Click this link for unit explanation) We'll introduce our final unit on media-messages by analyzing the world view presented in the book Anthem by Ayn Rand. It's
a short piece (we'll read it together in a week) that has a lot to break down.
3. The World View Essay- This will be...wait for it... the LAST ESSAY OF THE YEAR. In exactly 2 pages, I want you to explain your world view.
4. IRA 6--The Group Project- (<--Click Link for Scoring Guide) For the last IRA, you will be working with the groups you picked the very first week of semester 2. This project is HUGE, but should be an enjoyable way to end the semester on a strong note.
My hope is that at the end of this term you'll be able to say that you have fought the good fight and finished the race!
