Our third lecture: “Sustainable and Fire-safe (SAFe) Landscapes: Protecting Lives, Property and Habitat” presented by Sabrina Drill, shows us how to how to protect our property and the health of our neighboring wildlands by creating and maintaining a sustainable, fire-resistant landscape. Learn how to create defensible space, break up fuel ladders and appropriately space plants while respecting our wildlands.

Sabrina Drill, Ph.D, is a Natural Resources Advisor for UC Cooperative Extension in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Current areas of her research and education include conservation of watersheds, land use planning and habitat conservation, and fire ecology in the wildland/urban interface.
