The NIG Research Meeting is an important event for NIG as an Inter-University Research Institution. As many researchers from Japan and abroad participate, the NIG Gender Equality Office has long thought that it would be good if NIG provided a nursery on a flexible basis in accordance with the wishes of the participants.

We thus made a proposal for the provision of temporary childcare to those in need during the NIG Research Meeting, and this policy was approved. In the future, after consulting with the related parties, a temporary childcare provision system will be implemented during the Meeting (Type 3 temporary childcare).

Previously, a prospective participant contacted the NIG Gender Equality Office regarding the use of the multipurpose nursery room, which was the trigger for starting this support.

As such, please do not hesitate to make suggestions. The NIG Gender Equality Office seriously examines proposals and can actualize them.
