(1) Is it possible for children to use this room alone?
→ To ensure the safety and human rights of children, the multipurpose nursery room must be used under the observant eyes of an adult, not by children alone.
(2) Can I work in the multi-purpose nursery room while looking after a child?
→ You can use the multipurpose nursery room to work while looking after a child. However, based on the work-time dedication rule, the time spent with children cannot be counted as working hours. Even discretionary workers should not declare this time on their work-time record.
(3) Can the multipurpose nursery room be used for children cared for by other adults from my family, family support center or others?
→ Yes, you can use the room. Please read here and make a reservation from this site. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact the NIG Diversity $ Inclusion Office.
(4) I would like NIG to allow employees to take their children to work (request not directly related to the use of the multipurpose nursery room)
→ After careful discussion and deliberation, we regret that we are unable to agree to this request. We understand that there are sometimes unavoidable situations when fulfilling work requirements. However, we think that we should aim for an ideal workplace rather than adapting irresponsible working ethics.
For this reason, the NIG Gender Equality Office is exploring ways to secure workers by providing temporary childcare in the multipurpose nursery room, even if it requires a certain cost. We would like everyone to understand that our aim is to create an environment where all employees can work properly.
