It was a hard battle between Leonardo da Vinci and Nikola Tesla. Why you might ask? Simply because it is an easy way out to choose Leonardo da Vinci, what didn't the guy do? But enough of that; Nikola Tesla.
You might know him for the 'War of the currents' and patent-battles between him and Thomas Edison, but he did a lot more. He is the reason we use AC instead of DC globally nowadays, he invented the aptly named 'Tesla Coils'.
But those are not the most important reason I choose him, later in his life he got to creating two towers that would broadcast electricity to each other, wireless. Just like this 'radio'-invention-thing he was involved in.
We sadly never seen his masterpiece constructed, but seeing how he was quite
the genius, I can't help but wonder, would it have worked?
