Trades & Technical Occupations
High school students can receive up to 40 high school credits in a single trade area through the Registered Apprenticeship Program. Students in RAP are able to receive high school credits at the same time they receive hours toward their first-year apprenticeship program.

Aboriginal Trades & Apprenticeship. The site promotes recruiting First Nation, Metis, and Inuit participation in trades and apprenticeship programs.
Alberta Occupational Profiles. These are Government of Alberta descriptions of over 500 occupations. They include information on duties, working conditions, skills, education, occupational outlook, salary, and related careers.
Agriculture and Food Science Careers. Information in English and French.
Apprentice Trades Canada. This is a powerful Federal Government website. Trade information can be selected by province, by trade category, and by trade. After the trade, category, and province are selected, the website provides numerous pages of links to websites about the specific trade.
Careers in the Oil and Gas Industry. This site is maintained by the Petroleum Services Association of Canada; includes a Virtual Career Fair.
Careers in Trades. This Federal Government website promotes trades occupations.
Construction Careers. This Alberta website has information about construction careers. The site has online videos about construction careers.
Registered Apprenticeship Program. Web pages from the Trade Secrets web site describe the RAP program and outline the steps students need to follow to be accepted in the RAP program.
Trade Secrets . Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training website. This web site has information about the trades, scholarships for people in the trades, financial assistance, related links, and publications.
Transpocity. Canadian website has information about careers in the transportation industry.
