Learning

We've all heard the saying that "We Live and We Learn"  ...

The Beyond 60 research is based on the idea that we all, inevitably, continue learning as we adjust to changing circumstances around us that demand that we continually "become" someone different.  So, learning is fundamentally - and predominantly - social.  The experiences we commonly connect with "learning", like being an apprentice or studying in school or  at university, are just particular examples of the general learning model shown below.

As "ME", each of us makes sense ("meaning") of "MY WORLD" through our experience of the things we do and our interactions with others in the communities we belong to.  The world, and how we see ourselves fitting into it, change continuously.   Big changes - like COVID - inevitably produce lots of learning!
