Between 2015 and 2021, the Beyond 60 research project (B60) involved a total of 239 local people, exploring two questions, What is it like to retire and age in our village? and How do we learn from, and feel about, 60+ life?  in North Muskham, a Village Community in the English East Midlands.

The academic research is long complete, documented in my thesis, Becoming Older, Being Well, and accepted in 2021 for the award of PhD by the University of Lincoln. Reflecting the local community focus that the B60 research itself adopted, I now use this web/blog to profile work/interests that the research led me to. 

During 2023/24,  I was a lay member of  the NHS Newark & Sherwood PCNs Local Design team, and this site continues to address local Health, Care & Wellbeing issues (currently proposed changes at Newark Hospital), alongside a focus on local  Planning and Access issues, most notably the recent Great North Road Solar Park  proposal.
