Chris Cummins (Bielefeld) and Jason Noble discussed some early ideas for an agent-based model of the evolution of the "theory of mind" faculty, i.e., the ability to explicitly represent the mental states of others. The plan was to compare agents with and without this ability in various strategic contexts, in order to identify the ecological niches that would have provided selection pressure for the evolution of this ability.
