Discussion of the relationship between graphical chain modelling and Bayesian network modelling in the social sciences and the kind of agent-based modelling that we favour. Translation of graphical chain models to system dynamics models seems easier. Difficulties in deciding how the a-temporal nature of a graphical chain model should be translated to the inherently temporal nature of either SD or AB models.
