Visiting Family:Camping, hiking, etc.

Adventurers: Hart, Gary, Dad, and I

NotesGary came in from Hawaii and my dad came in from San Diego. They were here for a family reunion but we of course begged them to come out a week early so we could camp and hike. We camped at the Collegiate Peaks NF Campground off of Cottonwood pass. This was a perfect location because we could head into Buena Vista one night for dinner and showers but still were deep enough into the woods that we might get eaten by a bear. The hikes we did were off of Cottonwood Pass as well. One was just a mile up the road and the other was over the continental divide which meant my brother could get out and pee to watch his urine run in both directions, so exciting. The hikes were both to alpine lakes which we selected so my dad could help Hart get his Tamkura Fly Rod set up. Hart slayed the fish, my dad looked good trying.
