Adventurers: Hart, Ben, and I
Duration and Difficulty: 3.3 miles up, 3.3 miles down. Yucky, rocky road. We went about a mile an hour. Map My Hike LinkTrailhead: The trailhead is located as far as you can get your car up Lake Como Road. This 4X4 road is ranked one of the hardest in the state and require highly modified rock crawlers to get up. We took our Sequoia which has quite a bit of clearance and locking differentials. This allowed us to get to about mile 4.5. Then we parked and walked.
Notes: We had planned to hike up to Lake Como, camp, and then hike Little Bear (the most challenging 14er in the state). However, something crazy was going on with me which included stomach pains, a rash, and very light-headedness. So we only made it about a mile up Little Bear and I had to turn back. Hart and Ben decided to turn back too and stay with me- the sick one. It was nice to get away but a big disappointment for all of us.
