Oh yeah, on my last day I met up with an old friend, Tom Dayhill who I haven't seen for 20 years since we last made tasty sandwiches together at Subway.
After work was done I headed to Girdwood, AK to surprise my mom. After some hugs and giggles we hit a local trail which had a really cool hand car to cross high above a rushing river. When we were less than a mile from her house I whispered yelled, "MOM" She non-whispered yelled back, "What?" When I pointed out the massive bull moose only 20ft away we both froze. Not sure what to do at this point we slowly proceeded to pass the snacking moose.
Over the next few days of visiting, I enjoyed a 10-mile bike ride along the inlet and participated in a a Mt race which was only 2-miles long but 2000ft of gain.
