Craig Brown

Craig Brown has received widespread acclaim for his research into, and renderings of, 19th-century baseball uniforms. His efforts - which can be seen at threadsofourgame - won him the 2018 George Michael SABR Pictorial History Award!

In addition to his own research, Craig relies on information/research from other people ("diggers") to help him in this endeavor. If you can help Craig in these efforts, please feel free to contact Craig and let him know you want to help.

The figure on the left is Craig's rendering of the uniform of the Gate City Nine, the winners of the first baseball game played in Atlanta on May 18, 1866 on a field located in the area that now lies just outside the main gate of Oakland Cemetery.
