Tommy Cason

Tommy Cason is a retired PGA Golf Professional. Born and raised in Brunswick (GA) he played baseball at South Georgia College in 1967 and later attended Auburn University on a baseball scholarship. He also played at Jacksonville State in 1971 . He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the June 1968 draft but did not sign. He was drafted by Boston Red Sox in the 1971 and played in the Red Sox's minor league system for several years, including stints with Pawtucket (AA Eastern League), Winston-Salem (Carolina League A), and Bristol (AA Eastern League). A knee injury in 1974 ended his baseball career, at which time he turned to a career in golf. He graduated from Georgia Southern in 1977. His wife, Ann, is a retired educator. They have two kids Kelli (Eric) and Thomas (Jenny) and one grandson (Cason).
