Wynn Montgomery

Wynn Montgomery is a retired educator and bureaucrat and a recovering workaholic. He and his wife, Millie, now live in Colorado to be near their grandchildren. Wynn wrote the biography of Georgia native and 1950s Red Sox pitcher Willard Nixon for Red Sox Baseball in the Days of Ike and Elvis: The Red Sox of the 1950s, published in 2012 by the SABR Digital Library. He also contributed a Nixon bio to the New Georgia Encyclopedia, and has written a biographical profile of Rico Carty. He served as co-editor on the 2010 SABR Convention publication, The National Pastime: Baseball in the Peach State. He is an avid photographer and cruciverbalist. He coached Little League Baseball for 15 years and now shares his love of the game and the Braves with his son and grandson.
