Alan Morris

Alan Morris is an Atlanta native and fondly remembers attending Cracker games at Ponce de Leon Park as a kid. He is a tour guide at historic Oakland Cemetery, where he has developed a tour of the gravesites of Atlanta baseball figures. He is a volunteer tax preparer for AARP during the tax filing season. Al is the sole employee of Al Morris Tax Service. He attended his first SABR Convention in 2008 and has been researching the first baseball game played in Atlanta. He is retired from state government where he spent a 34 year career with Vocational Rehabilitation, a program that trains and places people with disabilities into employment.
