Persuasive PowerPoint Assignment
For the PowerPoint assignment, you must choose one persuasive question to respond and give your opinion on. Your goal is to argue why your opinion is “right” on your particular topic. Your presentation must include:
- A minimum of six slides
- Five images- images that improve the look of the presentation
- One slide with sound
- Backgrounds on all slides
- Transition effects on at least 3 slides
- List all sources used
- Save in "projects" folder as yourlastnamepowerpoint.ppt
In your presentation, you should include the following information:
Slide 1= A title slide that includes the title of your presentation and your name.
Slide 2= Some background information on your topic and what your opinion is. (This may be a history of the law or tradition, or facts, statistics and trends.)
Slide 3= 1 slide that gives the opposite point of view on your topic and why that point of view is weak. (What would a person that believes the opposite say and why are they wrong?)
Slides 4 and 5= 2 slides- 1 slide for each piece of evidence or “proof” as to why your opinion is the most correct based on the information. (Focus on ONE reason on each slide. Only focus on two reasons, do not just make a list of reasons. Instead, put effort into explaining your two strongest reasons.)
Slide 6= The last slide should be titled "Works Cited" and should list all the WebPages that were used to gather information. (Keep a list as you go along. Google.com does not count as a source!)
- All text should be in YOUR OWN WORDS otherwise it is plagiarism.
Please ask any questions if you are confused by any part of the assignment.
