Biography Powerpoint

For this project, you will be researching and putting together a PowerPoint on a musician, athlete or actor/actress that interests you. Choose your person wisely so that you will be able to gather all the necessary information. While assembling your project, keep in mind that your audience is ME (the teacher!) so choose pictures and language that is/are appropriate. Do not cut and paste your information, or you will receive an automatic "F".

Slide 1: Title Slide- Name of person, along with your name in smaller font.

Slide 2: Background: Date of birth (and death if appropriate), place of birth, profession(s), and why you chose this person.

Slide 3: A list of 5-8 major accomplishments. (If he/she doesn't have this many, you may want to rethink your subject.)

Slide 4: A brief summary of the life and career highlights.

Slide 5: What is something about this person that very few people know? What general life lesson can this person teach us?

Slide 6:Picture gallery

Slide 7: Works Cited (A list of websites where you found your information- Not google.com!)

PowerPoint may be formatted differently if it better suits your biography, but it should contain at least the information included above.

PowerPoint must include:

• At least 4 different backgrounds
• 8 Pictures
• Bullet points
• Custom animation on at least two slides
• Slide transitions on all slides
• One sound
• Correct spelling and grammar (For example, movie titles, book titles and album titles should be in italics, TV shows, song titles and poems should have “quotes” around them.)
