Scenario: James is a corporate trainer who travels the country presenting workshops for large companies on various subjects. Lately, he has had several requests for a workshop on cell phone etiquette, so he is creating a slide show that he can use in a new course.
1. Open PowerPoint Assignment Cell Phone Use and save it as CellPhoneUseXXX (replace XXX with your initials). Be sure to Enable Editing!
2. Go to the Design tab, apply the Aspect theme, and change the theme fonts to Office.
3. With Slide 1 displayed, search the Clip Art task pane for the keyword calls, and insert the picture of the woman on a white background holding a cell phone out in front of her. Resize it and position it so it is like this picture:
4. Go to the Picture Tools Format Tab (It’s Pink) and apply the “Center Shadow Rectangle” picture style.
5. Click on the Insert tab. Insert a footer that is displayed on all slides except the title slide. The footer should display the text “Cell Phone Etiquette” and show the slide number. The bottom three boxes of the dialogue box should be checked like in the following example:
6. Go to the Transitions tab. Apply the Random Bars Transition effect to all slides.
7. Display slide 3. Search the Clip Art task pane for the keyword ring, and insert the Telephone.wav sound file, setting it to start automatically (Click on speaker, go to audio tools playback).
10. Position the speaker icon after the word Calls in the title at the bottom of the slide.
11. View the entire presentation in Slide Show view.
12. Save and close the presentation, then exit PowerPoint.
