Purpose:
Procedure:
1. Do NOT close this page!
2. Open MS Publisher à Choose Brochures, scroll down to the bottom for Blank Sizes and select Letter (Landscape) 11 x 8.5” (one of the last ones in the blank section)
3. When your publication opens up, click on the Insert tab, then click Page from the left side of the menu.
4. Then go to Page Design, click on the drop down arrow under Guides, and select 3 Columns with Headings. Grid lines should appear on the page, dividing it into 3 sections. Repeat this step for the other page so that you can see grid lines on both pages.
5. Using the Red Hot Mama Productions website (http://www.redhotmama.com),design a cover for your brochure. Your cover should be a panel on the right side. You must use some form of the company's name, but the artwork (as long is it is appropriate!) is up to you.
6. Copy the text from my sample brochure for the Western Theme and Children's Staging sections. However, make the design for each of these panels your own. Use clipart and/or colorful backgrounds to enhance your panel. You may put the panels in any order, except for the cover.
7. Take notes on the following areas for your brochure.
Do not cut and paste information! Read each section and take down important details. Then, summarize the information into one exciting paragraph with 3-5 bullet points for each of the two themes. You may add details not listed, but you should incorporate some things that are listed. Also, be sure to include:
- A photo or more for each theme showing what the customer to expect
-A colorful background or filled text box
-Creative fonts
8. The last panel should contain:
-A price list for the various services. You decide the prices that you want to charge.
-Contact information for the company (get from the website) and your name as the Event Manager!
*Use your own judgment about format, but remember that the company is both fun and professional, and the brochure should reflect this. Each panel should have at least one photo that shows what the customer can expect if they choose a particular theme.
