A special thank you to the four guests who visited Leading Edge last night: Pam, Elaine, Eunice, and Alfred. We are so glad that you were able to share your Friday evening with us.

The theme was Kaizen: Continuous, Incremental Improvement. Kaizen is a concept that promotes incremental improvement rather than major overhauls. While abrupt change can be jarring, disruptive, or too intimidating, small, easily achievable change can lead to better results. Businesses use this concept to improve processes, streamline procedures, and make more money. We can also use Kaizen in our personal lives. Do you keep bumping into a certain piece of furniture? Why not move it now! Is there a tear in a piece of clothing? As the saying goes, "a stitch in time saves nine."

Irene presented last night's prepared speech about what Toastmasters can offer you. She went over the history of the organization and the various manuals and resources available.

In lieu of a regular meeting on March 23, we will be hosting the Area 52 International Speech Contest and Evaluation Contest. It will be an exciting, tension-filled Saturday morning!
