What a special treat for those of us who came this morning! We started off with a special visit from Victor Borge, or at least Borge's spirit as everyone's troubles melted away with a rendition of his Inflationary Language routine. As promised, our guest speaker and possible World Champion of Public Speaking Stuart presented his contest speech: Don't Look Down. I'm sure we'll be hearing much more from Stuart in the coming months as he progresses through the contest ranks. The next speaker gave a fascinating account of how she used her spotting scope to take close up photographs of our avian friends. Perhaps we will have a birdwatching meeting soon? Our third speaker explained to us the difference between Mandarin and Cantonese and how wonderful it is for her to now be fluent in Mandarin. In Table Topics we had to decipher the mysterious meanings behind Olympic slogans like "I believe" and "Show your true colours". And Leading Edge welcomed a new member into the club today. Wow! Looks like everyone is really embracing the idea of Kaizen: small, continuous acts of improvement.

And that's what you missed today.
