La Compagnia Della Stella (The Society of the Star) is a cultural non-profit organization that was founded in July 2010 on the initiative of a group of intellectuals interested in the various aspects of the theme of the Three Kings.

Franco Cardini, Honorary President of Compagnia Della Stella, in addition to the distinguished professor of medieval history known to all, is the leading expert on the history and traditions connected with the Kings, and in this capacity he is the animator and the point of reference of the Cultural Association.

In addition to the study and research in the specific fields of the Kings, and in the vast area of their direct and indirect connections, the Compagnia has in mind, the programming of lectures, exhibitions of iconographic materials, film reviews, bibliographies and lists of specific websites, historical-cultural trips, collection of books and other materials related to the Kings and, last but not least, the historical re-enactment of the spectacular ride of Kings in Florence, according to what the distinguished Patrons in the fourteenth century (or, as they were called, Magnificent Lords-Magnifici Signori, that is the Members of the families of the Strozzi first,and of the Medici later) organized: the true Great Day of the City in Late Medieval period, and in the Early Renaissance, of the Epiphany.

What animates all those who work in projects of Compagnia Della Stella is a sort of "cultural pilgrimage" which, beginning by the Kings and their Star, will retrace their path of wisdom, involving educated people, people able to spread culture, people simply interested in history, in the arts and in religious and cultural traditions, and people active in the production world. A passion and a philosophy of life that will allow them to rediscover the pleasure of Knowledge and of Work, enriching each other by drawing a new push towards Excellence and peace, thus endeavoring to result in a Modern Renaissance.
