Dr. Huang has been engaged in the detecting, processing, and analysis of biomedical signals since 1999. In recent 5 years, she has published 9 original papers on international SCI journals as first author or corresponding author, and have gotten 1 patent authorized. The scope mainly covers nonlinear dynamic analysis of physiological signals, especially ECG, HRV and EEG.
Her current research interests are in the prediction of sudden cardiovascular events, which is common in cardiac surgery and intensive care unit, through real-time analysis of easily collected physiological time series such as heart rate, blood pressure, and peripheral saturation of oxygen, etc.
