Dr. Fabrizio Lombardi is a theoretical physicist who is interested in the understanding of Complex Systems from the Statistical Physics viewpoint. His primary research focus is the relationship between structure, dynamics and emerging properties of brain, biological and social networks.
He received his PhD at ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Hans Herrmann, mainly working on the temporal organisation of intrinsic brain activity in the framework of neuronal avalanches.
In November 2016 he joined Plamen Ivanov’s group to study sleep dynamics and dynamical interactions of complex physiological systems.
