BACKGROUND
Many Christian faiths have taught incorrectly that the need for Prophets and Apostles has passed.
Individuals with this concern will sometimes claim membership in the "Church of Christ" (a
grouping of all those who believe the scriptures the way they do). This they do in an attempt to
explain away the obvious formation of Jesus Christ's church as recorded in the New Testament.
Understandably, they are wary of being deceived by false teachers. We need to help investigators
understand:
1) The need for prophets.
2) The qualifications of a prophet.
