A lot of turkeys out there enjoyed stuffing themselves over Thanksgiving, but another group of turkeys found no pleasure, whatsoever, in being stuffed. Is strange that both are referred to as "gobblers", but really have nothing else in common, except after over eating, both end up having the "turkey trots". Hope you all enjoyed lots of food, family, friends and catching a glimpse or two of the Macy's parade and Snoopy. Was amazed to discover how many actually held their place in line, for Black Friday, by actually packing baskets with the holiday vitals and libations, set up folding tables and chairs and having their family dinner outside the stores. Understand that a few of the major retailers are planning on having Black Friday Tailgating Parties next year. Reserved parking spaces for a vehicle will cost $100 a day. To maintain a place in line for entry into the store, one person from each vehicle must hold the assigned place in line. One hour before opening all tailgaters (25 max per vehicle) shall assemble at their queued places. Readjusting the line should be as chaotic as actually trying to get into the store. Also have heard they are planning on possibly having Pre-Black Friday Sale on the Black Wednesday before Thanksgiving and a Black Tuesday Etailing Sale too. Perhaps it is time to convert to a faith or religion that doesn't celebrate Christmas.
Today I submit to you another piece of my art titled "Coasting And Running On Fumes". It is 11" long x 5 1/2" wide x 8" high. Don't want to elaborate about it too much, but would rather receive your opinions and thoughts. As they say, life is a journey and we travel many roads and see and do many things. When young we have all the time and energy for whatever may arise. We seldom give a thought that it will end. The older one gets, he realizes how precious TIME AND ENERGY are. To see it wasted and not applied is the greatest sin one may commit. It's too bad that we have to get on in years to come to that realization. Guess, somehow I was blessed by being an insomniac most of my life. I have almost lived two lives and gained, not only experiences and knowledge, but have gotten more MPG out of this body and mind than any fuel efficient vehicle anyone has made or is capable of producing. There is always time and energy available to do or accomplish, if one really chooses to do so. The only time there isn't, is when life and living is over.
