This tavern is specialised in cardgames. Before there were only cardgames here but the players wanted to have a beer or wine and sometimes even some food so a hundred years ago they started selling food and drink here also and this made Joo´s very popular in the west. They have many different cardgames here the lethyan game "deadman" is most popular. It is a variant of poker with seven cards instead of five and there are 72 playing cards, 18 in each colour. A normal pack of cards with four more cards, lieutenant, captain, major and general, which all of them is counted in between the knight and the queen. They also have some tablegames but the cardgames are most popular and it is very simple to find some players wanting to play with you. Joo´s have a close connection to 'The golden hat', the inn in front of this building (see 97) (see also 230).
