Instead of building the wall, the council decided to build the mighty piers and the even mightier fortress of Kalkyrian. And after that, they let build this the huge fortress of guards. Here more than 500 hundred (1% of the inhabitants!) men are living, guarding the city and its streets. The cityguard has a close connection to the firebrigade (see 88) and through this friendship they have even more people working for them (two more in each block!). Every lethysian know about these men and women but despite the heavy guard everywhere the criminality is high and there are a few thiefsguilds. Especially in Khuuport where the thieves rule, but the guard is trying to increase their number of men in Khuuport to protect the people there. The guards living in this fortress are called Primors and they are not allowed to have wives or girlfriends living with them there but they have two free days every week and many of them have wives. There are about 10% women in the guard and this is a very high number, especially in Rhakhaan where the knights rule. The Kalkyriers in the Kalkyrian fortress is not counted in the guard, but if something very bad should happen they will help the guard and reverse (also 71). All guards can ride and they use broadsword and a small or normal shield and they wear a green uniform with the Rhakhaan and Lethyan sign on the back and under the uniform they wear a light chainshirt (some of them wear heavier armour).
