Some types of combat are not hand-to-hand, but are done at a range, or distance. These include combat archery, thrown weapons, and missile weapons (siege engines). These combat arts are not only practiced for use in combat, but can be pursued simply as recreation as well, without ever entering a war. There are shooting competitions held at the shooting range, for example.
Combat Archery
If archery is performed upon the battlefield, it becomes combat archery. If you want to do archery in combat to help your team gain glory upon the battlefield, you can! There is archery in heavy combat fights/wars as well as in light combat. You'll have to become authorized in the style of fighting you shoot at, because of the fact that those armed fighters will be present.
