Offices
Every SCA group has to have certain offices filled in order to exist. There are Corporate officers of the organization, but the groups that comprise it, such as the Barony, each has its own positions to fill for duties that must be maintained. Officers are typically only in office for a term of 3 years. At this time their successor will take over the office. The officer will appoint deputies to learn the office from them and take the position over when the time comes.
The list of officers for the Barony can be found online: Baronial Contacts
General Introduction to the SCA as a Corporation
"You are of course very familiar with the SCA as a club engaged in medieval re-creation activities. But it is important to remember that it is also a corporation. The Society for Creative Anachronism Inc. is a nonprofit educational corporation (of the type the IRS designates as 501(c)3). It was incorporated in the State of California in 1968."

There is also a Board of Directors.
While a member is serving in an office, Officers may display their respective badge.
While serving as an officer does not equate to receiving an award and carries no rank or title, there are badges for most offices.

The Minister of Arts and Sciences is the officer responsible for supporting the practice and development of the various arts and sciences practiced both in period and in the Society today. In some Kingdoms this office is split, with both a Minister of Arts and a Minister of Sciences. Our A&S officer keeps a log book of all the A&S activity our members participate in, so that it may be reported to the society. The research and practical use of these projects is how we keep our non-profit status, so logging any such activity in the A&S officer's book is a valuable thing to do. Anytime you take a class, teach a class, perform research, participate in a discussion where you learn something, help prepare a feast at an event, hold or participate in a workshop, attend a demo, or other such related activity, this all counts! You're thereby contributing to the furthering of knowledge about what the SCA is and does in these ways. Each quarter the A&S officer will prepare a file of such activity to report to the society.
