Bear one another's burdens, and in this way fulfill the law of Christ. -- Galatians 6:2
First Congregational Church’s Care Team is made up of church members who have been trained to work with people who are experiencing stresses in life. The Care Team works in conjunction with the Pastor.
It is an impossible task for any Pastor to provide care to an entire congregation of people without the help of others in the church community. It is integral to FCC’s community that we care for one another. Situations that may cause stress and caring would be beneficial include:
Death of a loved one
Illness, injury or health issues
Divorce
"Empty-nesters"
Spouse/caregiver for a chronically ill person or person with infirmities of aging
New parents
Single parent
Some who is unemployed or under-employed
Recent relocation
Multiple life challenges that deplete one's energy
Members of the Care Team will help to find people in the congregation that may do things like:
Visit periodically
Call on the telephone
Make meals
Provide transportation to church or medical appointments
Make a referral to the Prayer Circle for the person/situation
For more information about making a referral to our Care Team, contact Pastor Julie Eklund or the church office by calling 920-231-7520.
