Children at FCC have the option to attend service in the Children’s Area of the Narthex with our Faith Formation Coordinator, Ms. Aspyn, or in the Child Care Room (room 103) with Ms. Olivia.
The Children’s Area of the Narthex is a worship-adjacent space where older children often enjoy participating in a simple weekly craft or guided activity with Ms. Aspyn, while still engaging with the service. This area is great for kids who like a little structure while staying connected to worship.
The Child Care Room, on the other hand, is a more relaxed play space designed with our youngest children in mind. Here, kids can read, build, explore, or just enjoy a quieter, more flexible environment with Ms. Olivia. Worship is projected on a small TV in the room so children and caregivers can still see and hear the service.
We recognize that every child’s energy and focus varies from week to week. Some Sundays your child may be excited to join the craft in the Narthex, and other weeks they may just want to play quietly in the Child Care Room—and that’s okay!
We encourage you to check in with your child each week and ask where they would feel most comfortable attending worship that day. Both spaces are welcoming, nurturing, and part of our church family’s shared worship experience.
