Up and Coming Runners is a section of Emersons Green Running Club aimed at supporting those who want to start jogging or running for fitness.
Walk – Jog – Run, it's up to you but we will help you progress to your goal, whether you want to jog a little further, run a little faster or just improve your fitness.
The pace of each session will be tailored to those attending and so you do not need to feel that you are holding anyone back; we’ll run to your pace.
Up and Coming Runners began back in April 2013 (as Up & Running) and meet every Monday at 6.45pm (for a bit of pre-run admin) before setting off on a walk-jog-run at 7.00pm. Feel free to come along on any Monday where your ability will be catered for.
For each Monday night session, the charge is just £1.00.

COUCH to 5K
Here at Emersons Green Up & Coming runners, we aim to help people start running, keep running, reach personal goals & have fun along the way. On Monday 2nd February @ 6.30pm, we are starting a new 8 week "Couch to 5k" program. It's open to both men & women and we aim to get you walking, jogging & running at your own pace. Whatever your ability, you're welcome. No experience is necessary, so if running has only ever been a dream, come along & give us a go.

A £10.00 fee will be payable on your first visit to cover the 8 weeks. At the end of the program, we will be here to keep you moving & motivated at our normal time of 6.45pm. At this time you can join as a member of the club, or run as a guest at just £1 a session. Come and be part of a great team, get fit & make some new friends. Up and Coming Runners has been set up with the intention of providing a group environment for those wanting to progress from a limited ability to walk/jog to being able to jog/run for longer and faster. Up and Coming Runners group leaders have Leadership in Running Fitness qualifications but are not running coaches - we will guide you and provide support but we are not qualified to teach you how to run.
