Tonight we host a race-style event to suit all abilities, over a 4.23 mile course: http://gb.mapometer.com/running/route_3899861.html.
The result should be that after a staggered start, if everyone runs to their race time potential/prediction, there will be a blanket finish as everyone crosses the line close together irrespective of how fast they run.
So, how does it work? You predict your own time over the course. We'll be able to help calculate this from other races or you can run to a particular pace according to your training plan or any injury. Runners then set off in reverse prediction order, so the fastest predicted time starts last, and you run with
NO GPS / WATCH / PHONE / etc... just run!
The runner closest to their prediction time (without GPS!) will win a prize.
See you all there!
